2023 Spring Season

We have officially kicked off our 2023 Spring Season, with our weekly Thursday evening rehearsals. We are delighted to officially welcome Toru Tagawa as our Musical Director along with Rafael Reyes-Worman as our Assistant Conductor.

It is not too late to join – we are especially looking for more violinists, violists, cellists, horns, trombones and percussionists. Get in touch via our Join Us page.

Toru and Rafael have organized an exciting program this Spring which we cannot wait to share with you all. We will be performing pieces by Sibelius, Wagner, Bizet, Strauss, as well as Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 1st Movement featuring Toru as the soloist.

Our Spring concert will take place on Saturday, May 13th at 2:30pm at Catalina High Magnet School. Watch out for more information in the coming months.

A New Dawn

Welcome to the re-launch of the Foothills Philharmonic! Weekly rehearsals each Thursday will resume on August 25, 2022 in preparation for our Winter Concert in early December. This season we will be auditioning two candidate Musical Directors, Rafael Reyes-Worman and Toru Tagawa, who will be taking us through our exciting program for the Fall/Winter season.

After rehearsals were suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and our long-standing rehearsal and concert venue no longer available, it’s taken a village to get things back up and running! Many thanks to all those who have given their time to make our re-launch possible.

We hope this new website will be a useful source of information and will keep everyone in the loop with news, opportunities and interesting information on our pieces for the coming season.
